Gearing Up and Best in Slot
This page is a gearing up guide for Frost Mages. It is updated for World of Warcraft WoD 6.2.2. It first presents the best in slot items before listing, slot by slot, all the items, with a level higher than 575, that you can acquire in the game. We also explain how you will be competing for loot with other classes.

Giving a complete BiS list makes little sense, because of random Warforged upgrades and tertiary stats (such as sockets). Since reforging is gone, you should simply look for items that match your stat priority.
The only slot where you have a real choice to make is for trinkets. Below you will find a comparison of all the raiding trinkets available in the game. This comparison was made with Simulation Craft, using the Tier 18 Mythic profiles with 10,000 iterations (we will run the simulations with 100,000 iterations very shortly). Trinket values may change with gear (item level, stats, etc.), so the list below is mainly here to give you a rough idea. As Tier 18 Action Lists for Simulation Craft improve, we will keep these rankings updated.

The Tier 18 set bonuses are extremely desirable for Frost, so you should replace your Tier 17 set pieces with Tier 18 ones as soon as possible.

When gearing up, we advise you to always prioritise pieces of Tier sets over non-set pieces of higher item level.
